In compliance with N.J.A.C. 6A: 14-1.2(h)
Each district board of education shall ensure that a special education parent
advisory group is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.
For this initiative to be successful, it is important for everyone to understand that this iS NOT a forum for discussing or resolving issues related to specific children and theirIEP’s. Those issues must remain in the domain of the Child Study Team through the IEP process. Parents must utilize their Parents Rights in Special Education (PRISE) process to resolve issues or disputes. This IS an opportunity to discuss our programs.
