Temporary Road Closure Marne Highway (CR537) at Creek Road and Rancocas Blvd.

posted May 14, 2015, 9:14 AM by Unknown user
Marne Highway will be closed on or about Monday, June 8, 2015. It is anticipated that the roadway will be reopened on or about Monday, June 22, 2015 or 14 calendar days from the date of closure. Marne Highway (CR 537) will be closed at Mason’s Creek for bridge construction by ConRail, effectively closing the intersection of Marne Hwy, Creek Rd. and Rancocas Blvd. ConRail is rehabilitating the existing multi-span bridge that carries the rail line across Mason’s Creek. The railroad tracks run parallel to Marne Highway at this location; which requires the closure of this portion of CR 537 during their construction. Marne Highway will be closed to through traffic between Ark Road (CR 674) and Hainesport - Mt. Laurel Road (CR 674).

The same detour route from the previous closure in March will be put back into effect for this closure. The proposed detour route uses Hainesport – Mt. Laurel Road (CR 674) to Rt. 38 to Ark Road (CR 634); which is approximately 3 miles long. Traffic on Creek Road (CR 636) heading southeast from Rt. 295 will be detoured onto Masonville - Centerton Rd. and should then follow the posted detour route.

Current bus routes running to this area through the signalized intersection of Creek Rd, Rancocas Blvd, and Marne Hwy will be temporarily affected; and you will need to adjust them accordingly.
  • For buses going through the intersection (traveling eastbound or westbound on Marne Highway) and do not make any student pick-ups will need to be directed to follow the proposed detour.
  • Any buses that normally travel on Creek Road to or from Marne Highway and do not make any student pick-ups should be directed to follow the posted detour.
  • Buses picking up students within the Rancocas Woods area (Creek Rd. and Rancocas Blvd.); will not be able to access Marne Hwy, but will still be able to make turns between Creek Rd. and Rancocas Blvd. Buses should access Masonville-Centerton Rd. using the signalized intersection at Creek Rd.
  • Marne Hwy at the signalized intersection of Creek Rd. and Rancocas Blvd will be a dead end on each side. Any buses coming into the closed portion of Marne Hwy for student pick-ups will have to be coordinated in a way so that the buses can turn around.
