About Us
At Hainesport School, our success is rooted in the strong partnership between our dedicated staff, supportive families, and an engaged community. Serving approximately 570 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, we are proud to provide an inclusive environment where every child is known, valued, and supported.
Our academic programs are aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), ensuring that all students receive a high-quality, standards-based education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond. Instruction is centered on a strong emphasis on critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world application.
To meet the diverse needs of all learners, Hainesport School implements a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. Through this model, students receive tiered academic and behavioral supports based on data-driven decision-making. This includes targeted interventions, enrichment opportunities, and ongoing progress monitoring to ensure each student achieves their fullest potential. Students are given the opportunity to develop their talents in music, art, physical education, and media studies. Our academic offerings also include an Algebra program for eighth-grade students, promoting advanced learning and readiness for high school coursework.
We focus on fostering a culture of belonging and respect for all. Our focus on the whole child is supported through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) aligned with New Jersey’s SEL competencies, helping students develop self-awareness, self-regulation, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of extracurricular and character-building experiences. Programs such as Student Council, school-wide wellness initiatives, and anti-bullying efforts aligned with the New Jersey Anti-Bullying Act support a positive school climate. Our “Hawk Pride” initiatives further promote leadership, responsibility, and school spirit.
